Okay. Unnecessary 80s franchise reboot, directed by the guy who did The Pink Panther 2. How the hell could this possibly be good? You know what? I bet it's half-decent. Jackie Chan is always good value, Jaden Smith seems to know what he's doing, and the original script is solid, which should hold true even if they've shifted the location to China.
It's pedantic to point out that Jackie Chan actually teaches the kid kung fu, right? I guess we're idiot enough to let them away with that.
