Dir. James Cameron. Starring CGI.
Weak-ass story will be totally buried by whizz-bang CGI and spectacular effects. It'll be a phenomenal theatre hit and then it'll be forgotten. Trailer looks the business, though. And Sigourney Weaver is always good value.
Titanic Cameron or Terminator Cameron? God, please let it be Terminator Cameron.
Because I've seen both of those and Terminator is the one that's good.
Haven't seen Avatar, although I have seen The Aviator.

Finally saw Avatar in 2D on a 42" LCD TV.
You know what? I loved it. It's Pocahontas In Space alright, but I don't have a problem with that, for me it works really well. The leads are good, the visuals are utterly mind-blowing while still, crucially, serving the audience's engagement with the story, and after a clunky start with probably too much exposition and world-setting it gripped me the whole way through.
On top of that the message is clear - we humans can choose to fuck things up for money, or we can evolve and transform into something better, and everyone will win. Classic sci-fi, masterfully executed. I loved it.
