The Green Zone

Dir. Paul Greengrass. Matt Damon.

From the director and star of the last two Bourne movies comes The Green Zone, an "electrifying thriller" set in Iraq just after the invasion. Damon plays Roy Miller, a US Army inspector searching for the WMDs everyone is convinced lie hidden about the place.

The trailer makes it look like a bit of a right-wing shoot'em-up, but knowing Damon's more liberal politics and having seen Greengrass' non-biased treatment of the Al-Qaida attackers in United 93 (possibly the best film of the last decade) it's likely to be a lot more subtle and honest than that. Because we all know how the search for WMDs went, don't we?

Great cast, superb director, this might even be as good as The Hurt Locker.

Not that I've seen that either.
