Dir. Quentin Tarantino. Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, etc.
Look, you just know this is going to rock. It's going to be really violent, in a really fun way. It's going to be completely historically inaccurate. It's going to be unrealistic to the point of... to the point of that scene in Kill Bill when Beatrix ***** is flying Samurai Airlines with her shiny new sword tucked into the seat beside her. The music is going to work, in a really fucked up "how could that possibly work?" kind of way. The performances are going to be over the top, and they're also going to rule. Tarantino is completely going to get away with it. Again. Look at the trailer, it's the business, alright?
Or maybe it'll suck. I don't know, I haven't seen it.

Well, I did finally see Basterds. It's good, but it's not as good as I was hoping. Some of the set-pieces are amazing, and some of the sequences are masterfully executed. The opening sequence is extraordinary, and a lot of the early stuff with the Basterds themselves is great. Brad Pitt's good but under-used. The overall story arc is, however, piss-poor. Very disappointing.
