I thought the trailer for this looked great, until I realised I was watching the trailer for "Cyrus", with John C. Reilly.
Anyway. Estranged father, reluctant teenage New Yorker daughter, summer on the beach in the American south. "A story of family, friendships, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances".
Sounds dreadful.
But then I'm hardly the target audience.
I'm sure it's lovely, heart-warming, well-made, wonderfully acted with some subtle, nuanced performances, and really, REALLY annoying. Unless you're a tweenie girl. Which I'm not.
But hey, what do I know? I haven't seen it. And won't.
