A Serious Man

Dir. Joel & Ethan Coen. Michael Stuhlbarg, Richard Kind, Fred Melamed.

Black comedy in the Jewish midwest in 1967. Not exactly high concept, but c'mon, it's the Coens, it can't be bad. Even their most mediocre work is way more interesting than most film-maker's best.

Not that I've seen this particular example, which looks theatrical (not a bad thing, but hard to carry off) and very wry. But I will. Probably.
