Dir. Jason Reitman. George Clooney, Vera Farmiga.
George travels the world firing people, with his ultimate goal to get 10,000,000 frequent flyer points. Which would probably entitle him to, like, two free flights somewhere he doesn't want to go on days he doesn't want to travel. Probably.
He's on the verge of this achievement, has just met a rather goood female fellow-traveler (of course he has) when he's grounded. He ends up taking a young illusioned on a cross-country trip firing people, and she reflects back on him the emptiness of his existence. Or something.
So it'll be well-made, well acted and ultimately well put-together, full of theme and nuance. And in the third act it'll fall apart just a tiny bit. But other than that it'll be great, I'm sure. Much better than a Transformers movie, and anyway. So I'm glad it's out there.
Also Jason Reitman made Juno, which was really really great, and Thank You For Smoking, which is probably great, but of course I haven't seen that one. Much as I haven't seen Up In the Air. I'd like to. No hurry, but.

Saw this the other night.
It's excellent, as predicted. And the third act held together better than I thought it would.
I also saw Thank You For Smoking, by the way. It was good, too. Support films like these, people.
